An adverb is a word that changes or qualifies the meaning of a verb an  adjective or an other adverb.

Adverbs answer questions such as how? in what way?, when?, where?, and to what extent?

Examples: My mum is walking. My mum is walking slowly.

                   My dad gets up. My dad gets up early.

                   I go to school on Monday. I always go to school on Monday.

                   This man is rich. This man is very rich.

                   Mary works out. Mary works out because she wants to be healthy.

                   Lin is travelling. Linn is travelling abroad.
