1. Pronunciation
– In ielts speaking the examiner asses your familiarity with the English language so your pronunciation should be point.so if you are not able to pronounce any word learn its pronunciation.
2. Fluency is the key
– You need to be fluent in your ielts speaking and you should know that fluency does not mean to speak fast or to speak too slow it means to speak at constant pace with intonation and expression.
3. Try to speak continuously don’t get stuck
– Speaking continuously is very important.so you need practice it. Most of the student say that our environment is not suitable but this is not the case its just an excuse if you want to improve and speak continuously you need to make efforts
– So try to do read aloud take a paragraph and read it in continuation.
– Do object speaking look around see objects and speak on them speak about your mobile phone, fan,curtain,bed anything you see just speak about it.
4. Speak in phrases not in individual words
– Learn as many phrases as you can as it will make your speaking more effective.
5. Work on your accent
– Major problem students have is that they speak English with a Punjabi touch so avoid this work on your tone and way you speak record yourself and listen to it check which words you speak in Punjabi accent and practice them.
6. Do not worry too much about grammar
– Grammar is important but not that much, most important is your pronunciation, fluency, way you speak and how you present your idea so give more importance to these.
7. Answer directly don’t overgeneralize it
– Don’t beat around the bush always directly approach to the answer
8. Try to sound natural
– Sound very natural don’t fake a accent as it will affect you speaking negatively.
9. Do not memorize the answer
– Don’t memorize the answer as when you will speak it will look like you have crammed the whole stuff and your speech will not look natural and you might also stop in between as you will try to speak according to the memorized answer and there are always chances to forget the stuff that you memorize.
